Dr Thiri was born and raised in Yangon, Myanmar(formally known as Burma) .She completed her medical degree (MBBS) from University of Medicine 1 ,Yangon in 2017. Since then, she had been working at a private hospital with mixed speciality wards in Myanmar , constantly honing her clinical skills .She moved to Australia in 2020 following the completion of her Australian medical council exams.
She worked at Bundaberg, Mackay and Gold Coast University Hospital as a resident medical officer, gaining experience in areas including medicine, surgery, paediatrics including neonates , obstetrics and gynaecology , mental health and other various fields.
Dr Thiri is passionate about child and women’s health . Her other interests include skin cancer management and chronic disease management , and all other aspects of General Practice.
Dr Thiri is dedicated to providing evidence based care to improve the general health of the general population.
Dr Thiri speaks both English and Burmese.
She enjoys listening to music, watching movies and travelling in her spare time.
